Power Mech Projects (PMPL) rose 4.90% to Rs 1,206.90 after the company reported receiving a record order from Adani Group for 5 flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) projects worth Rs 61.63 billion.
Based on full engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), the company obtained 5 FGD contracts from Adani Group for the installation of 15 FGD retrofits for coal-based facilities in Mundra, Tiroda, Kawai and Udupi. The company stated that the projects for its 330 MW to 660 MW installations will be completed within 30 months.
According to the company, these FGD units would successfully reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 92% and contribute significantly to India's ambitious goal of reducing emissions intensity announced at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26.
