IREDA, MAHAPREIT sign MoU for renewable energy projects

An MoU has been signed between the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency and Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT). In accordance with the MoU, IREDA will provide financing facilities to MAHAPREIT for the renewable energy projects to be implemented for public utilities, local agencies and the infrastructure of renewable energy parks.

MoU was signed by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and General Manager (CMD), IREDA and Bipin Shrimali, CMD, MAHAPREIT. As part of this partnership, IREDA will also conduct Techno-Financial due diligence for renewable energy and energy efficiency and conservation projects for MAHAPREIT.

On the occasion, CMD, IREDA said: "We are delighted to partner with MAHAPREIT and offer our techno-financial expertise to MAHAPREIT for the sustainable development of Maharashtra. Through this kind of cooperation, we can support the Government of India to achieve the goals of Get 50% energy from non-fossil fuels by 2030. These initiatives can also encourage green investment and create thousands of jobs.
