NHDC to receive 125 MW floating solar project from Tata Power Solar

The Letter of Award (LoA) for NHDC's 125 megawatt (MW) floating solar project was received Thursday (NHDC) by Tata Power Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy.

For this project at Omkareshwar Reservoir in Khandwa District of Madhya Pradesh, NHDC had applied for proposals earlier this year.

With this, Tata Power Solar now has a portfolio of 9.8 GW utility scale solar projects bringing the total order book to Rs 14,908 crore at the time of writing. The LoA has been awarded through a rate-based competitive bidding process and the project will commence within 13 months of the LoA being issued. It will empower MP Power Management Company.
