Maire Tecnimont announces that its principal subsidiary Tecnimont has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract by Sonatrach's Direction Centrale Engineering and Project Management to operate a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) facility in the existing Rhourde El Baguel oil and gas treatment complex, located in northeastern Algeria.
The total contract value is approximately $380 million to be executed on a lump-sum basis.
The scope of the project includes the implementation of a new LPG extraction plant with a capacity to process 10 million metric standard cubic meters per day of associated gas from the existing facilities. The installation is scheduled to be completed within 36 months from the contract effective date.
