The bid invitation for the Ahmedabad-Mumbai High Speed Rail project on the Maharashtra stretch has been finalized, and land acquisition for the project is also nearing completion.
The National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) on 15 November issued tenders for the project of constructing 135 km of line stretch from Shilphata in Maharashtra to Gujarat border and three elevated stations of Thane, Virar and Boisar in Maharashtra.
Before that, on 23 September, the NHSRCL had issued tenders for the construction of about 20 km of the line in Maharashtra from Mumbai to Shilphata. On 22 September, it had issued tenders for the construction of the Mumbai Metro station in the Bandra-Kurla complex. These three tenders, including tunnel works, complete the tender for the entire work to be done for this project in Maharashtra.
