Nuvoco Vistas Corp, India's fifth largest cement group and the largest cement player in East India by capacity, recently received Green Pro certification for six of its ready-mix concrete plants. Patencheru, Miyapur (Hyderabad), Whitefield (Bengaluru), Sanathal (Gujarat), Noida (Uttar Pradesh) and Gurgaon (Haryana) received the “Greenpro Ecolabel” from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC-CII) for the production of Ecodure - Green Concrete.
Green Pro Ecolabel is accredited by Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) through GENECES (GEN's Internationally Coordinated Ecolabelling System) for end users in the construction and manufacturing sector to choose sustainable products, materials and technologies that reduce environmental impact.
Compared to conventional OPC blends, Nuvoco's Ecodure products - Ecodure, Ecodure Prime and Ecodure Plus - reduce carbon emissions by up to 60 percent. This makes it an ideal choice for sustainable and circular construction. In addition, the company also issues Green Pro Certificates to end customers who have made a conscious choice to buy environmentally friendly products with minimal impact on the environment.
