The government of Uttar Pradesh views the real estate industry as a vital pillar in the state's goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy. The state government estimates that the real estate sector will receive Rs 7.3 trillion in investment over the next five years.
Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar and Meerut of the National Capital Region in the western zone of the state will receive special attention. The plan envisages the construction of 6.4 million HIG, MIG, LIG and EWS homes in urban areas near small markets. The government will encourage private investment in these homes.
