Revealing this recently, the Secretary in the urban development wing of the Delhi government, R K Srivastava said that the local government is currently implementing six low cost housing projects for the construction of 18,460 dwellings at a cost of Rs. 470cr. The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) readied 13,528 low cost residential units in scores of areas including Narela, Dwarka, Bhorgarh and Bawana. Apart from providing all the civic amenities the newly built localities are being connected with round the clock transport services so that the living masses may not face any hardship in traveling to their places of work.
