Due to huge financial losses caused by poor shipment of cement from the twin factories of ACC in Gagal and Ambuja Cements in Darlaghat, the management has decided to close their operations from tomorrow. The Adani group has recently taken over the two factories. According to a statement released today, management stated that due to rising operational costs, including transportation and raw material costs, as well as current market conditions, transportation of cement has been drastically reduced. This has resulted in poor cement shipments, which has reduced the company's market share. The company suffered huge financial losses.
Given these circumstances, management has been forced to immediately halt operations in the two plants and all related activities. All employees have been instructed not to report to work until further instructions are given later in the evening.
Hundreds of people work in the two factories.
