Deere introduces the 200 G-Tier, a new lower-cost mid-size excavator

In the company's naming strategy, which debuted in 2021, the G-Tier designation represents the company's economic models. Models are labeled with a G, P or X to indicate their level of performance and technology. The P-Tier includes advanced features, while the X-Tier hybrid diesel-electric technology and the most advanced features.

The 200 G-Tier is marketed as a more cost-effective alternative to comparable medium excavators in its class. It is intended for small contractors and rental companies.

A 4.5 liter 145 hp PowerTech engine powers the 22.5 ton excavator. The machine's digging forces and lifting capacity allow it to handle a wide variety of applications including overburden, basement excavation, truck loading and pipe laying.
