JK Tyre targets carbon net zero by 2050

According to a statement from JK Tire, the company has set a goal of being carbon neutral by 2050. According to the statement, it strives to be the "greenest company" and seeks to achieve efficiencies in areas that contribute to 2030 sustainability goals.

JK Tire has reportedly taken steps to reduce energy consumption, enabling the company to source 53% of its energy from renewable sources. The goal is to reach 75% in the next five years.

JK Tire, one of the cleanest tire manufacturers, has a low-carbon approach that will serve as a cornerstone of our continued expansion. In the past eight years, we have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by almost 57% and we aim to be carbon neutral by 2050.

The company claims to have the lowest water consumption in the tire industry and claims to be a zero-discharge company.

The company is working towards greater environmental responsibility by producing more with less and by reducing energy intensity and greenhouse gas emissions.
