According to reports, there are wage agreement talks between the Cement Manufacturers' Association (CMA) and the country's unions have ground to a halt.
At the beginning of 2019, the CMA and the Federation of Major Central Unions (INTUC, AITUC, BMS, HMS, and CITU and LPF) signed a four-year pay agreement. As the previous settlement period comes an end in March, negotiations between the association and unions to finalize the next paycheck the agreement for the employees has stalled.
According to reports, talks stalled when the CMA pushed for a wage agreement for only permanent employees. the agreement for the employees has stalled.
