He added that the BCCL has finalized tenders for Muraidih underground mines with capacity of 2 million tons of non coking and medium coking coal, Block II underground mine of 0.5mt non coking coal, Kapuria under ground mine of 2 mt prime coking coal and Moondih XV with 2.5mt capacity of prime coking coal. Ensuring further capacity addition, the company is also in the process of clearing tenders for nine other underground mines of about 7 mt per annum of prime coking coal capacity. The on going initiative will not just augment the underground coal production but also improve the growth in underground production and contribute profit to the company, besides facilitating the introduction of state of the art technologies.
