State-owned NBCC has signed an agreement to collaborate on the construction of 100,000 homes in Zambia. According to a statement from NBCC, the Indian government's Navratna CPSE, the two companies have signed an MOU to work together on the construction of 1 lakh low and medium duty houses in Zambia to help with the country's severe housing shortage.
In the presence of P K Gupta, CMD, NBCC, the agreement was virtually signed by K P M Swamy, Director (Commercial), NBCC (India) Ltd, and Maustafa Saadi, Chief Executive Officer, Scirocco Enterprises Ltd.
As an EPC agency, NBCC will provide its engineering services. In Mauritius, NBCC has successfully built social housing and is currently working on the construction of social housing in the Maldives.
