Two companies involved in the disastrous NBCC Green View project in Gurgaon have been blacklisted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, preventing them from working on projects for the Ministry for the next two years.
Moreover, the affiliated organizations, autonomous organizations and central public enterprises of the Ministry have prohibited Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd and Ramacivil Construction Pvt Ltd from working with them.
Residents of the NBCC Green View building in Sector-37D were asked to leave their units after the IIT, Delhi deemed it dangerous. The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) told the Department of Housing that these two companies employed substandard labor, resulting in a substandard structure and creating problems for NBCC homeowners.
The ministry then demanded an explanation as to why the companies should be prohibited from doing business with her in show-cause reports. The ministry ordered the companies to be placed on the backlist until March 29, 2025 after receiving responses from these companies, analyzing the NBCC's submissions, and considering the expert committee's recommendations.
