NHPC invites bids for ISTS-connected solar projects

NHPC has invited bids to select developers to set up 3,000 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar projects across the country. Tenderers must submit bids for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and thereafter multiples of 10 MW. A bidder may offer to develop projects in multiple locations, with each project having a minimum capacity of 50 MW and the cumulative capacity offered not exceeding 1,000 MW.

The last date to submit bids online is August 3, 2023. Bids will open on August 11. Bidders must submit Rs 560,000/MW of the specified capacity as a serious cash deposit, with a minimum of Rs 30 million and a maximum of Rs 100 million.

The successful bidder must provide an amount of Rs 1,677 million/MW of the allocated capacity for each project as a performance bank guarantee. The project must be commissioned within 18 months of the effective date of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).
