The Government of Maharashtra has given further impetus to such societies by instructing its officers to clear applications and ensure that all necessary permissions are within three months of the date of application. Recently, district zonal officials were appointed to self- redevelopment proposals.
Unlike the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank, the government also has the central district cooperative banks in each district as the nodal organization for financing these Projects.
The Mumbai Central District Cooperative Bank will provide financial services for the Mumbai region. You may recall that the state has already waived the registration and stamp duty payments for redevelopment proposals.
