AVAADA Group, a supplier to India's integrated energy sector, has announced its initiative to set up a green hydrogen and ammonia production unit at Gopalpur Industrial Park, Odisha. This important step comes following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited (TSSEZL).
The collaboration aims to accelerate the shift towards green energy and strengthen Indias ambition to become a global green hydrogen production hub. "The MoU is a crucial milestone in our journey towards realizing our Green Ammonia business," said Vineet Mittal, Chairman, AVAADA Group.
“Odisha government officials are not only regulators but also facilitators and provide practical guidance at every step of the business process. This proactive approach has allowed us to experience ease of doing business in its truest form, perfectly in line with Prime Minister Modis vision. The single window system in Odisha is not just a policy on paper but a lived reality, making it an ideal destination for sustainable business growth,” Mittal said.
The project is expected to generate approximately 1,600 direct and 4,000 indirect employment opportunities. In addition, it aims to reduce annual CO2 emissions by almost 2 million tons, contributing significantly to a greener and more prosperous future.
