Engineering conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged two orders from oil producer Saudi Aramco. As part of these contracts, the company will install a gas processing plant and main process units, in addition to the construction of gas compression units.
L&T is among three contractors that have secured multiple packages for Aramcos $10 billion expansion of its Jafurah unconventional gas production project in Saudi Arabia. The combined value of the two packages is estimated at $3.9 billion (nearly Rs 32,455 crore), with Package I expected to cost $2.9 billion and Package III worth $1 billion.
So far this year, the company has announced two mega projects: the first contract is for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail line and the second involves multiple hydrocarbon contracts.
