During an inspection of ongoing construction work at the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Lieutenant General Rajeev Chaudhry, the Director General of Border Roads (BR), praised the groundbreaking progress in building construction. The site under scrutiny was the air-shipping unit in Chandigarh, which is touted as the world's largest 3D concrete-printed campus.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry highlighted the cooperation between the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and construction company L&T, which has resulted in the establishment of the Himank Air Dispatch Unit. This state-of-the-art facility incorporates state-of-the-art 3D printing technology, making it a world-class construction project.
The Director-General expressed his pride in India's pioneering adoption of this innovative technology and highlighted his joy to witness this remarkable development. Chaudhry further pointed out that a similar building complex, if built using conventional methods, would typically take a time frame of no less than 18 months to two years to complete.
