Fortune Hotels, a member of the ITC hotel group, has signed the latest operational agreements for two abandoned industrial projects of Fortune Park in Kochi, one in Athani and another in Kakkanad. The two hotels, expected to open in 2025, mark Fortune Hotels' long-awaited entry into Kerala.
Samir MC, MD, Fortune Hotels, said, “As we steadily expand our presence, our two properties in Kochi will contribute significantly to our portfolio. We see Kerala as a high potential market and our strategic focus on entering new and emerging cities in this state continues. “We stand behind our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences at all of our destinations.”
The Athani addition is expected to debut in March 2025 and offer 72 elegant rooms and suites. Located just a 10-minute drive from Cochin International Airport, this modern hotel will be the first branded hotel in its segment in the area and a prime location for transiting guests, both business and leisure.
The Kakkanad project, a business hotel, is expected to open by the end of 2025 and will consist of 67 rooms. Located in Ernakulam district of Kerala, home to numerous industrial and IT projects such as Cochin Special Economic Zone, Kochi Info Park and Smart City project, Kakkanad is emerging as a central location with a strong IT presence and thriving industrial activities.
The two Kochi hotels are designed with multiple dining options, state-of-the-art meeting and banquet facilities and other wellness facilities such as gym, spa and swimming pool, providing guests with ample options to relax and unwind.
