Rama Steel Tubes (RSTL) announced the commencement of a 40,000 tonne expansion project at its plant in Khopoli, Maharashtra. The expansion is in addition to the company's current installed capacity of 2,64,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA).
In a statement, Rama Steel Tubes said the company had commenced a strategic backward integration expansion of 40,000 MTPA at its Khopoli plant in Maharashtra.
According to the statement, the project is expected to be completed by the end of FY25, with an investment of Rs 300 crore, which will be funded through internal accruals.
Richi Bansal, permanent director and CEO of Rama Steel Tubes, said: "They are setting up a cold rolling mill and galvanizing steel sheets to meet internal raw material needs.
