Paschal India plans pre-forms capacity addition

Mumbai : Paschal Form Work (India), which is a joint venture between Paschal Werk G, Maier Gmbh of Germany and NCC Limited, has recently rolled out modular pre-forms, a product largely used by the construction industry, from its newly set up facility located at Vizag on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The company is currently in the process of adding to its manufacturing capacity as its product conforms to European standards but have been customized for Indian requirement as it is being a modular product very easy to deploy for speeding up construction work at the job site. Chairman Udo J Vetter, Paschal India, said that the venture was set up last year at an investment of Rs. 77cr with a capacity of manufacturing 50,000 sq mt of wall and 15,000 sq mt of roof panels and it is all set to achieve a turnover of Rs. 100cr during the current financial year. Director Project, NCC, V Radhakrishna said that the first year's business has been fully tied up as NCC, Lanco Infratech and several other construction players are Paschal customers and has also started pilot exports to score of select markets including Oman. As the current capacity is fully committed the company is contemplating to double the capacity at an investment of Rs. 30cr by the first quarter of next year, he claimed.
