NTPC Green Energy partners with Indus Towers

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) and Indus Towers Limited (ITL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to address the need to accelerate green energy goals. This MoU is also in line with the efforts of the Government of India for a carbon neutral economy.

The MoU was signed by Soumya Kanti Chowdhury, Managing Director, NGEL and Vikas Poddar, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ITL in the presence of senior officials. Others from NTPC and ITL.

The MoU will explore joint development of grid-tied renewable energy-based power projects, including solar, wind, energy storage, etc. Indus Towers plans to gradually expand its renewable energy portfolio to GW capacity, for its commercial operations spread across the country, as part of its net zero commitments.
