Indian cement production

Mumbai : Indian cement industry marks a positive growth this fiscal. Cement Manufacturers Association (CMA) of India has declared there estimated level of growth in cement production to touch approximately 320 million tonne by the end of this financial year.

"The target was 290 million tonne by the end of this year, which we have already achieved. Indian cement industry’s production capacity has doubled in the past five years and today it has succeeded in producing an additional of almost 40 million tonne per year,” said NA Viswanathan, secretary general of CMA.
