Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, laid the foundation stone for projects in Sri City on August 19, 2024, also inaugurating and signing deals with various companies worth up to Rs 3,683 crore. The projects are expected to generate 15,280 job opportunities.
A total of 15 industrial projects, amounting to an investment of Rs 1,570 crore, have been inaugurated in India. These projects are expected to create employment for 8,480 individuals. In addition, foundations for seven more projects with an investment of Rs 900 crore have also been laid, which are likely to generate 2,740 jobs. The Chief Minister has further signed five agreements for projects involving an investment of Rs 1,213 crore, with the potential to create 4,060 jobs. The total investment across all these projects amounts to Rs 3,683 crore, with the potential to generate job opportunities for as many as 15,280 individuals.
Sri City, an integrated business hub in India, houses 220 companies from 30 nations and has received a total funding of $4.6bn. Known for its substantial export business, the hub includes major firms like Isuzu, Pepsi, Alstom and Foxconn, which have contributed to a total export value of $4bn.
