JCB, the world’s leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment, unveiled its first ever diesel Telescopic Boom Platform, the T 65D in Goa at the Aerial Platform Association of India’s (APAOI) conference. The machine offers higher standards of reliability, efficiency, comfort and, above all, safety. The machine is manufactured at JCB’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Jaipur.
JCB India CEO and Managing Director, Deepak Shetty said: “This world-class machine is designed around safety and productivity and gives our customers the option to buy Made-in-India machines with full product support. Our customers can now buy new equipment with a full warranty and JCB support back-up and are not reliant on used imports. We have invested significantly in our Jaipur manufacturing facility so that these machines can be built to one global quality standard”
The machine has a platform height of 65 ft & 4 in and has a reach of 56 ft & 6 in with a maximum working load of 450 kg. The machine is powered by a JCB diesel engine and comes with two working zones. It has an 8 ft platform and the maximum weight of the machine is 12,500 kg. It has 4-wheel drive as standard and has enhanced safety features including the secondary protection system, crush hazard which protects the operator at all times. It offers increased productivity through intuitive controls, oscillating start angle and joystick ergonomics for fatigue-free working.
He added: “India is a strong economy in the world today. As business and trade increase, so will the opportunities for products like the Telescopic Boom Lift. The T 65D is available not only for the domestic market, which is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, but also for export around the world”
The T 65D is exported to developed markets and is an embodiment of JCB’s make in India initiative. They are used in the construction, cement, oil and gas industries. They are also extremely popular in airports and warehouses, or in any application where people are working at height.
JCB has invested in creating a distribution network specifically for these machines. It has 11 dedicated dealers with trained technicians and spare parts, so that these machines can operate seamlessly across India.
