RITES Ltd, a leading transport infrastructure consultancy firm, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NBCC (India) Ltd, a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing. This collaboration aims to explore and execute a wide range of consultancy, fee-based projects and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts, covering the entire process from concept to commissioning.
The partnership will see RITES and NBCC collaborate on projects across multiple sectors, including urban energy, water management, urban transportation and infrastructure, and township development. According to a press release, this collaboration aims to leverage the combined strengths of both entities for modern and innovative projects.
RITES will provide consultancy and project management services, covering the entire pre-construction phase from conceptualization, planning and design to cost estimation and tender documentation. They will also coordinate the construction process. Meanwhile, NBCC will contribute its expertise in project implementation, covering aspects such as tendering, contract management, construction supervision, cost control, quality assurance, project handover, commissioning and management during the defects liability period.
