Tatas launches Rs. 1,200cr flyovers in steel city

In this connection, the company has already ordered the preparation of a detailed project report and has also sanctioned Rs. 800cr as a part of the initial investment. According to official sources the company is also seeking the help of the state government for building the project on build, operate and transfer (BOT) module, on which toll would be collected only from the heavy vehicles.

The commissioning of the flyovers project will go a long way in decongesting the traffic in the steel city where traffic snarls and milling jams have become a routine matter. The construction work on the project is expected to be started in the middle of this year and would be completed in the next couple of years, they claimed.
