Ambuja Cement asks more time to set AP unit operational

Guntur : Ambuja Cements Ltd has asked more time from the state government for its Greenfield cement plant located in Guntur district. The plant located at Nadikudi though attained all the necessary approvals in 2008, failed to set operational until the state ministry for mines reviewed its status.

The plant with an investment capacity of Rs600 crore was originally proposed a production capacity of 2 million tonne along with the grinding unit at Kakinada. The company also plans for increasing the project size to attain 5.75 million tonne capacity.
