ABB offers robot-based technology for plastic sector

Karnataka : ABB, a power and automation technologies group, has decided to offer robots and support products dedicated to the rising production efficiency in the plastic segment. The line-up is headed by ABB's latest six-axis robot, the IRB 1600, which has been unveiled in the UK at Interplas in 2005.

It is also available in four different versions with a reach of 1.2 m or 1.45 m, and payload of 5 or 7 kg. Its high payload makes IRB 1600 a strong robot.
