Tata Steel finds India costly

New Delhi : Tata Steel has contested India’s status as a low cost economy and pointed out that transportation costs are far higher than that levied in developed economies.

Speaking on sidelines of Indian Logistics conference here today, Tata Steel group director Amitabh Panda said, “Freight costs in India are high, as asset utilisation levels are low.” Mjunction Services Ltd held the conference.
