JSW Steel Q1 net surges 64% to Rs 485 cr

Mumbai : JSW Steel has posted a 64.25% rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 485.16 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. The firm's net profit stood was Rs 295.37 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year.

JSW Steel's total income was up 53.47%, from Rs 4,858.09 crore a year ago, to Rs 7,455.67 crore for the quarter under review.Shares of the company were up 0.26% at 871.55 a few minutes before close on the Bombay Stock Exchange
