Giving details of the investment plans, State Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati said that of the total funds, Rs. 400cr would in be invested in building roads and creating related infrastructure and Rs. 225cr has been set aside for the public health and engineering wing to upgrade water, drainage and sewage system across the region. In addition Rs. 91.76cr has been earmarked to build technical, medical education and research facilities. Currently over 44 developmental schemes covering various department at an investment of Rs. 8,658.42cr are in full swing in which NCRPB has contributed Rs. 3,223.66cr and remaining portion of fund has been shared by the Indian Railways and the state government, she claimed.
