Size does matter, investors bet on financially strong firms

New Delhi : With close to 1,000 companies announcing their financial performance for the quarter ended June 2011, it is clear that size matters. High interest cost and commodity prices took a toll on the profitability of most Indian companies during the quarter. Companies with a stronger balance-sheet and large cash in hand have seen a boost in other income. This has enhanced the net profit of large players.
