Fast-track Mundra equipment supply: Tata to govt

New Delhi : Tata Power has told the government that its 4,000 MW Ultra Mega Power projects (UMPP) at Mundra in Gujarat may suffer due to delay in supply of equipments and has sought Power Ministry's intervention to resolve the issue. In a letter to Power Ministry, the Tata Power subsidiary developing the project has said, "It seems that the inter-ministerial priority listing for BHEL supply to the Mundra UMPP is withdrawn and therefore there are delays faced in the completion of supply for the units."
