New Delhi : The rout in the equities, which began late last week continues. Key benchmark indices tumbled in opening trade as stocks fell across the world as worries about global economic outlook escalated after an unprecedented downgrade of the US credit rating by Standard & Poor's on Friday, 5 August 2011. The 50-unit S&P CNX Nifty fell below the psychological 5,000 level for the first in more than 14 months.
