Lanco secures Rs. 885cr solar contracts

Mumbai : Lanco Infratech's arm Lanco Solar, has secured a contract from the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company to set up solar energy generation plant with a capacity of 75mw involving an investment of Rs. 885cr. The project, which is located at Dhule area of the state, has been awarded to a consortium of Lanco Solar and Juwi Renewable India and is slated for commissioning in the beginning of 2012.

The Group Chairman L Madhusudhan Rao in a statement reiterated that bagging of the latest contract is factually a strategic win for the company as the order has not just placed it in the category of top solar power developers in the country, but also helps it considerably in securing its supply chain competitively.
