Wheels India set to break even in new businesses

Chennai : Company had diversified to ensure stability to topline Wheels India, the Rs 1,676 crore auto parts maker of TVS Group, hopes to achieve break even this year in the new businesses the company forayed into a couple of years ago as part of its efforts to mitigate the impact of cyclicality in automobile market and to ensure stability to the topline.

The company had diversified into power sector, both conventional and non-conventional sectors. It established a new plant at Deoli in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 20 crore to manufacture structural components for power plant manufacturers and has been supplying to BHEL.
