Dynamatic's Rs 500-cr aerospace expansion

Bengaluru : Dynamatic Technologies, the company that designs and builds highly-engineered products for automotive, aeronautic, hydraulic and security applications, is planning an investment of about $110 million (Rs 500 crore) on the aerospace park it is building near the international airport here. The publicly held company (Rs 580 crore annual turnover) is planning to spread its investment over six yeaRs . About 25 per cent will be spent over the first 12 months. Dynamatic is setting up a modern aerospace manufacturing facility, Dynamatic Aerotropolis.

“This will facilitate the continued building of the company’s capabilities in large aerostructure assemblies, composites and complex engineering, enabling Dynamatic to emerge as a preferred strategic supplier to global tier-ones and aerospace primes,” according to Udayant Malhoutra, chief executive officer. Phase-I of the project is slated to commence soon. It will include setting up of a sheet metal shop, a centre of excellence for complex machining and surface treatment facility for large assemblies.
