SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant developing special grade steels for wagons & boilers

New Delhi : New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Limited's (SAIL) Bhilai Steel Plant is developing special steel grades of plates for use in railway wagons and boilers. One, meant for use by Titagarh Wagons Ltd, is for manufacture of high speed light wagons. The second one under development stage is a dual grade boiler quality plate for intermediate and low temperature application by boiler and pressure vessel manufacturers.

It recently developed and rolled out a new grade of plate for use in the manufacture of pressure vessel for a petrochemical project. The plates would be used for the manufacture of pressure vessels under a high pressure and sub-zero temperature condition, used in petrochemical projects.
