“The production of crude steel and saleable steel in the April-August period was the best since inception, with an increase of 1.9 percent and 6.1 percent over the corresponding period last year," said a release from the company.
By producing 199,721 tonnes of plates, 675,701 tonnes of hot rolled coils, 135,685 tonnes of hot rolled plates and 25,566 tonnes of ERW pipes in the first five months of the current fiscal, the steel plant also notched up best ever performance in the respective areas.
