(STC) was established in the year 1976 by Mr. Mahavir Shah (1933 – 1988) with the objective of providing professional services in the field of urban Infrastructure. Mr. Shah had previous experience of working with major American consulting firms in the USA before returning to India to set up STC. Mr. Shah was also one of the founder members of the Indian Water Works Association.
Shah Technical Consultants its humble beginnings with its head office in Mumbai, STC won its first major assignment in 1978 for the World Health Organization to prepare a Master Plan for water supply and sewerage for the city of Chennai (Pop: 4 Million) in India.
Subsequent to this STC bagged another major assignment for undertaking the feasibility, detailed engineering and tender documentation for water and sewerage facilities for 6 cities and 104 towns in the Mumbai Metropolitan region (Pop: 3 Million).
STC has been growing steadily undertaking projects for most of the major cities in India and recently for projects overseas.
STC commenced work on overseas projects in the year 2006 with projects in USA, Canada, UAE, Libya, Kuwait, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Tanzania and Qatar.
Shah Technical Consultants has regularly posted growth in turnover and has always been a profitable company since the date on its inception over three decades ago.
