WEST COAST Engineering Works Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated in 1974 as a small unit with a specific objective of manufacturing industrial floor gratings and to also look for opportunities into other allied products in future. This was a time when Indian economy was closely guarded in every respect from forces of outside world. One immediate fall out of this was that it left Indian industry in somewhat deprived state. All this changed within one decade and by 1984-85 Indian economy slowly started shedding its inhibitions by way of liberalized policies and adopting a business friendly attitude. With these winds of change, Indian Industries energized and started thinking globally by expanding and diversifying into unexplored horizons.
