The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (MCC) has estimated an expense of Rs 1.25 crore to convert the operation of the Construction and Demolition Waste Plant (C&D) from manual to mechanical.
After a presentation on September 16, it was decided to increase the production of the factory in the city by collecting as many raw materials as possible from construction and demolition waste for the automated preparation of concrete items. The engineering department of the MC will use these items in various projects.
Residents are given various options for bringing construction and demolition waste to the UT factory in the Industrial Area. Upon receipt of public feedback and suggestions, fares and modes of transport, private or public, will be determined.
