​Govt launches heli-borne survey tech for groundwater management

Minister of State Science and Technology Jitendra Singh, Minister of State Earth Sciences, Minister of State Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Aerospace have launched CSIR-NGRI Hyderabad's state-of-the-art Heli-supported groundwater management research technology.

To begin with, the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana are being surveyed by helicopter, with the first flight taking place today in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Jitendra Singh, speaking at the event, said the CSIR's water technologies, which range from source detection to water treatment, will benefit millions of people across the country and help Prime Minister Narendra Modi achieve his Har Ghar Nal Se Jal and the farmers to double' income targets.
