Indian State to Build Water Treatment Plant on Gurgoan Canal

Haryana : The state government of Haryana in India is to set up a water treatment plant on the Gurgaon Canal using Israeli technology.The move was taken following a study undertaken by the government to review the effective use of water resources in Israel.

The canal provides water to the four districts of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Mewat and Palwal, according to the Press Trust of India.

Currently, the water of this canal is primarily used for irrigation but after installation of the treatment plant at the place where it parts from Agra Canal, it would be used for drinking.
