According to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs document on the progress of AMRUT projects, in the three mission cities of Jammu and Kashmir, apart from the 80 completed projects, contracts for works worth Rs 1.94 billion have been awarded.
AMRUT has been extended to meet its goal and is under AMRUT 2.0 until March 31, 2023, and States/UTs must complete AMRUT projects by this date. AMRUT 2.0 was launched in October 2021 for a period of five years, from 2021-22 to 2025-26.
