This innovative U lock comes equipped with two settings, armed and unarmed, so you can be alerted by a 105 - 110 db alarm when the lock is tampered with, basically, double the protection. The Heavy Duty Siren Alarm Padlock has a body made of extra strong cast steel, high-grade steel shackle. It is resistant to corrosion, bad weather, physical destroy & Waterproof. >> To set the lock alarm simply remove the shackle,turn it round and push the shackle into the housing and turn the key. The unit will emit a short bleep to indicate that the alarm is activated. If the padlock is disturbed,it will activate the full alarm. >> Long life batteries included and pre fitted,3 special cut keys. >> Operating Instruction : Insert key; turn in a clockwise direction and remove shackle,Replace shackle into lock with groove towards key and the alarm will set after 15 second. When the lock is vibrated twice within 5 seconds the alarm will sound. The 5 second delay allows the lock to be opened by key without sounding. The alarm sounds in 10 second intervals. The alarm will keep sounding with constant movementor vibration. Once stopped the alarm will re-set after 35 seconds. >> Battery Replacement : To replace the batteries remove the 2 screws in the shackle holes, Remove cover and replace the batteries(6xA76/LR44 1.5V). Be sure to pay attention to polarity and that cover goes on the same way it comes off. Batteries should last 2 years under normal operating situations. >> NOTE : To use an ordinary padlock simply insert the shackle with the groove away from the key port. if using on moving vechicles or equipment use as an ordinary padlock until stationary then alarm may be set.
