Specification: AWS A5.9/ASME SFA A5.9/ER308L. 2-lb net weight of stainless steel welding wire. 4\" spool wrapped in moisture-resistant plastic film. Typical deposited chemical composition %: C=0.02, Si=0.32, Mn=1.70, P=0.01, S=0.009, Cr=20.0, Ni=10, remain=Fe.
Features and Applications: for MIG (GMAW) welding process for 304, 304L, 308, 308L, 321 and 347 stainless steels. With a carbon content held to a max of .03% to to reduce the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation. Most popular stainless wire for general-purpose applications where corrosion is moderate and applications at cryogenic temperatures. Shielding gas required, usually Argon/CO2 mix.
Available wire diameters: 0.023\" (0.6mm), 0.030\" (0.8mm), 0.035\" (0.9mm), 0.045\" (1.2mm).
